We firmly believe that bucks make up half your herd, even though we all have fewer bucks than does. Adding a genetically sound buck from a strong dairy line is one of the best ways to improve your herd’s production and conformation.

Currently, we have 3 adult bucks and two bucklings in residence. We often grow out our most promising bucklings in order to decide which will bring the most desired characteristics to our herd. As we improve our bucks or bring in new ones, we occasionally listed mature, proven bucks for sale. Keeping bucks that are closely related to each other or our does simply does not allow us to continue improving our lines.

Our Bucks:

All of our boys are a bit on the shaggy side right now. With autumn settling upon us and the rain starting to return, I didn’t really want to shave them down right now.

All three bucks are about 1 1/2 years old and have successfully sired one litter of kids each with wonderful results.

Our Bucklings:

Both of the boys we kept this year are from Rio Grande and Loni. Wander is polled while his brother, Wonder, is horned (disbudded). We are watching them grow with great anticipation and so far we are very pleased with their progress.
